A young woman is being charged with a hit and run that has left a bicyclist dead. It is reported that a woman and her friend were riding their bicycles on Route 28 in Hyannis, MA on Thursday, June 14, 2012, when the woman was hit by a car; the driver left the scene.

 

The bicyclist was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention; however, she was pronounced dead a short time thereafter.
Officers were able to track down the driver allegedly involved in this accident, identified as twenty-three-year-old Angelica Barroso of West Yarmouth. Ms. Barroso was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
