Former Middleborough High School Teacher Killed in Weekend Crash

A beloved former teacher and soccer coach at Middleborough High School has died in a weekend car crash in town.

Family and friends say 61-year-old James Braga was a Middleborough native and Vietnam-era Air Force veteran who was dedicated to the children of town. He taught business at the high school until retiring several years ago, and also coached boys’ soccer. Mr. Braga was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Saturday night on Route 44. Because the crash remains under investigation, police did not release additional details.
