PORTLAND, Ore. – More plaintiffs have joined a $600 million lawsuit against power utilities in Oregon, claiming they let electrical equipment spark wildfires that burned across the state on Labor Day Weekend.

Three Pacific Northwest law firms are behind the class action lawsuit against PacifiCorp and Pacific Power. They announced an amended complaint Monday that includes more people impacted by the wildfires.

The lawsuit alleges that the utilities “failed to properly maintain and operate their electrical infrastructure,” which they say ultimately caused deadly wildfires during a wind storm on Labor Day weekend.
