On Thursday, October 25, there was a small private plane crash along Interstate-93 in Hooksett, New Hampshire at approximately 1:10 p.m. The plane hit a light post and then it dropped onto the busy interstate. The two passengers, a couple that owned the plane, were killed in this tragic incident.

Authorities identified the couple – Herman Hassinger, 83, and his wife, Doris, 83, of Block Island, Rhode Island. Herman Hassinger was thrown out into the woods about 20 to 30 yards from the plane’s fuselage, while Doris Hassinger was found inside the crashed plane.
“The plane was flying in a southerly direction, struck a light pole adjacent to the interstate, essentially causing the plane to nose dive,” New Hampshire police said.
Although we hope of course that we and our loved ones will not be involved in any incidents while on a plane or near a plane crash site, siyeincidents due to a plane crash, it is important to understand your rights should such an accident occur. The first step is knowing whether or not you even have grounds to file a claim for your injuries. The facts of each individual case can be quite complex, requiring sifting through accident reconstructions; police, NTSB, and other federal agency investigations and reports; and insurance policies, among other inquiries. The accident scene should be investigated, coordinated (when necessary) with a proper team of professionals and experts, examining all evidence.
