Police Identify Two Killed in N.H. Plane Crash on I-93

On Thursday, October 25, there was a small private plane crash along Interstate-93 in Hooksett, New Hampshire at approximately 1:10 p.m. The plane hit a light post and then it dropped onto the busy interstate. The two passengers, a couple that owned the plane, were killed in this tragic incident.

Authorities identified the couple – Herman Hassinger, 83, and his wife, Doris, 83, of Block Island, Rhode Island. Herman Hassinger was thrown out into the woods about 20 to 30 yards from the plane’s fuselage, while Doris Hassinger was found inside the crashed plane.
“The plane was flying in a southerly direction, struck a light pole adjacent to the interstate, essentially causing the plane to nose dive,” New Hampshire police said.
