A faulty elevator pinned a 32-year-old worker against the back wall when it closed, pushing a hand-truck against the plaintiff.

 

The truck trapped the plaintiff and cut off his air. He was asphyxiated. The elevator stopped between floors, so there was no means of escape.[102]
