Joseph A. Swartz
Joseph A Swartz is an accomplished trial attorney with over 35 years of experience litigating cases in New England and around the country focusing in the areas of personal injury, including but not limited to wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice, brain injury, dram shop (liquor) liability, automobile liability and premises liability.
Mr. Swartz is currently a Senior Trial Attorney at Swartz & Swartz, P.C. having joined the firm in 1980. He continues to concentrate his practice in the area of personal injury having represented hundreds of Plaintiffs and their families; some resulting in record setting jury verdicts.
Mr. Swartz has been a frequently invited guest lecturer speaking to the legal profession and civic groups around the United States and Canada regarding trial practice and consumer safety and has authored various treatises in this area.
Mr. Swartz is AV Peer-Review rated (highest ethical and professional rating) by Martindale-Hubbell, representing that his peers rank him at the top of his profession. He has also been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only and includes the top Plaintiff and Defense Trial Lawyers in the country. He is also a lifetime member of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and national attorney groups including the American Association for Justice.
Mr. Swartz has been named as a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine and Law & Politics in the Area of Personal Injury. The honor of being named “Super Lawyer” is based upon peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state earn this distinction.
