Kristy L. Rivers is a trial lawyer at Swartz & Swartz, P.C., who began a career of zealous advocacy for her clients while representing indigent defendants in Florida. She is admitted to practice law in Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

In 2016, she received her Juris Doctor degree here in Boston from Suffolk University Law School, where she was selected to deliver the Commencement Address to her graduating class. She then began her legal career at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office where she became a seasoned litigator after several successful jury verdicts.

After four years in Florida, she returned home to practice law in New England, landing first in Maine. There she served as one of the first Assistant Defenders in the State of Maine, contributing to the first centralized indigent representation system in the State. Now she feels incredibly fortunate to be able to represent plaintiffs and build her civil practice here in Massachusetts.
