The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) launched a recall involving eight styles of one-piece, footed cotton clothing for infants made by Carter’s.

The pajamas have a zipper from the foot to the neck and were sold in sizes newborn, 3, 6, and 9 months.  The zipper pull can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The style number is printed on a side seam label. Baby B’gosh, Child of Mine made by Carter’s or Just One You made by Carter’s is printed on the fabric inside the neck area. The details follow:

Brand              Style Number Description

This type of hazard highlights the need for consumers to be vigilant regarding items purchased for children. Many unsuspecting buyers assume that because a product has reached the store shelves, it has been properly designed and tested. Unfortunately, this is not necessarily so. Even one act of negligence during the process from a product’s conception to its sale can cause catastrophic injuries and wrongful death once the product reaches unsuspecting consumers. If you or a family member have suffered significant personal injuries as the result of a defective product or negligence, contact the law office of Swartz & Swartz, P.C.
