Purr-Fection by MJC has announced a recall of about 7,200 Beamerzzz stuffed animals with flashlights in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Flashlight wires can protrude through the stuffed toy, potentially cutting and wounding a child. The recalled stuffed toys came with LED flashlights sewn into the left paw. They are about a foot tall and were available in five different animals. Look for manufacturing code 111208-02 on a label on the back left side of the toy and the model number on a tag on the left ear. The recalled styles are:

Style Model number
Baby moose 3127FS
Baby buttercream bear 1229FS
Baby smoky black bear 1231FS
Baby deer 3136FS
Baby derby elephant 1927FS

Beamerzzz stuffed animals were sold at Cabela’s and online at Cabelas.com from September through November 2012 for about $15.
