Various dietary supplements sold by West Coast Nutritionals have been found to contain the drug ingredient Tadalafil, which can interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, lowering blood pressure to dangerous levels.

 

Dietary supplements are not covered by the rigorous regulations applicable, for example, to prescription drugs, and often come from other countries which have minimal or no oversight over ingredients for such items.
