West Music announced the recall of its Basic Beat BB201 standard egg shaker instruments.

The end-piece is glued to the top and can come off, posing a choking or aspiration hazard. The recall affects approximately 6,000 shakers that were sold at West Music stores, West Music Catalog, and Amazon.com from July 2012 through October 2012 for about $1.50 each.
The toy instruments have Lot Number 0E0212 located on the bottom of the roundest part of the egg.
