A fatal motor vehicle accident took place at around 3:34 a.m. at the Harbor Express parking lot on Washington Street. At that time, an oil truck was in the process of fueling a commuter boat, while the truck was positioned on a slight incline.

When the driver was preparing to begin fueling, the fuel truck’s brakes failed, causing the truck to roll into the driver, pinning him to a wall. A passenger of the fuel truck was able to drive the truck away from the victim and call emergency personnel.
When help arrived, the victim’s health was rapidly deteriorating. Tragically, shortly after he was transported to Quincy Medical Center, he was pronounced dead.
Accidents involving motor vehicles can occur for a variety of reasons, including operator error, defective motor vehicle parts, or negligent maintenance.
